who are we?
Teddy Girl began as a school project created by Jane Igharo, Elita Tsilo, Lucy Qi, and Evan De Souza. We are all journalism students at Centennial College and the University of Toronto. This magazine is made up of four diverse individuals who have distinct personalities and distinct styles.
We have a raw love for fashion and everything vintage. Though our experience might remain limited, the knowledge that we have gained through media and our own endeavors, has sustained our ability to pursue this publication of this magazine with success. Lucy has been part of the fashion industry for years. She has modeled for fashion designers in China as well as in Canada and has made several appearances in Toronto’s annual Fashion Alterative Fashion show – FAT. She has also modeled for print magazines and commercials in Hong Kong. Elita’s interest in fashion has inspired her to design several dresses that have been featured in local fashion shows. Evan has a keen interest for red carpet looks. His intrigue for style has caused him to be aware of every fashion trend and what every A-list celebrity is wore to an event. Jane, A fashionaista in her own right, is an avid vintage shopper, from her mother’s closet to the streets of Spadina, she is always on the prowl for chic antiques. She has a keen eye for style and is a religious watcher of Fashion TV. She is
